SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of operation of internal combustion engines (ICE) and can be used to control the ICE gas inlet flow, which comprises an inlet throttle valve, located in the ICE inlet channel, EGR-channel located between inlet channel section and outlet channel, EGR-valve located in EGR-channel and valve of negative pressure formation, located in inlet channel higher in inlet flow from connection with EGR-channel. Control method includes determination of target degree of intake throttle opening in accordance with target volume of external air, as well as corresponding definitions of target pressure at inlet, target total flow section of external air flows and EGR-gas, target flow section of EGR-valve and target value of flow passage section of negative pressure formation valve, thereafter, intake throttle valve opening, EGR valve and negative pressure formation valve are controlled based on said target values.

EFFECT: use of the invention improves accuracy of control.
