FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spinodal alloy of copper-nickel-tin used for production of pipes and pipelines used in oil and gas industry. Spinodal alloy of copper-nickel-tin has conditional yield strength of at least 758 MPa (110 thousand pounds per square inch), impact viscosity of at least 16.3 Newton-meters (12 ft-lbs) when measured in accordance with ASTM E23 standard with V-notch at room temperature, tensile strength of at least 827 MPa (120 thousand pounds per square inch) and minimum relative elongation of 20 %. In particular, spinodal alloy of copper-nickel-tin consists of: from 5 to 20 wt % of nickel, from 5 to 10 wt % of tin, additives of not more than 0.3 wt % of at least one element selected from a group consisting of boron, zirconium, iron, niobium, magnesium and manganese, and a copper residue.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength, yield point, impact viscosity and ductility.
