SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ball hinge for suspension of vehicle or, for example, steering element. Ball hinge (14) comprises pin (20) extending from ball (18). Housing (16) comprises hole receiving ball (18). Housing (16) comprises an inner surface facing ball (18), including a groove. Plastic insert (22) is located between the ball and housing. Plastic insert has first and second sides located opposite each other. First side has a spherical surface interacting with ball (18). Second side comprises ledge arranged opposite spherical surface to enter groove and to fill it, and recess in spherical surface opposite ledge. Also disclosed is a method of making a ball hinge.
EFFECT: providing a connection enabling rotation of one element relative to the other, providing a hinge joint in the entire range of movement during operation of the vehicle.
