FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly to submarine vehicles which break up ice cover. Disclosed is a device for destruction of ice cover, consisting of an underwater vessel equipped with an anchor, diameter of opening of which should be greater than the length of the deckhouse, which provides attachment of the vessel to ice by means of a rope, and ballast cisterns. Point of the rope securing to the submarine should be aligned with the submarine displacement center. In ends of ship thrusters are installed, providing rotation of vessel around vertical axis with period equal to two periods of resonance flexural-gravity waves, at that, axis of vessel rotation must coincide with rope, in which swivel is provided.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
