FIELD: vessels and other watercrafts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to submarine vessels capable of destroying the continuous ice cover upon their ascent. Disclosed is method of ice cover destruction, which consists in attachment of vessel to ice by means of anchor and rope with subsequent filling of ballast tanks with outboard water. Then, by means of pre-installed thrust devices in the ends of the ship, it is provided with rotation around the vertical main axis of inertia and at the same time the rolling pitch is provided with frequency of resonant flexural-gravity waves (FWG), wherein rope is attached to ship at point located on its rotational axis while swivel is provided in rope itself.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
