FIELD: processing and transmission of information.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a person transmitting discrete information over a communication channel with multipath propagation using test results thereof. At the first stage, the channel is tested by successive transmission of K types of used signals in accordance with the applied modulation. Counts of received signals reflected from the earth's surface and sums of the signal and reflected signals are generated. Readings are taken at the same moments in which the readings at the information exchange stage will be taken. Count sums and threshold values are calculated by multiplying the magnitude module of said sums by the set values of coefficients. At the stage of information exchange for the first received signal by results of comparison with thresholds of difference of sums of readings and similar values received at testing stage its type is determined. At each detection of the signal from the sums of counts, the stored sums of reflected signal counts are subtracted, corresponding to the types of the received signals, and the signal type is determined. N-dimensional array of reflected signals includes an array corresponding to the type of the received signal and the time of appearance of the first reflected signal from that array is determined.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of compensation degree of reflected signal with phase manipulation or amplitude-pulse modulation due to use of results of testing channel with multi-beam propagation.
