SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infant formula containing lipid globules and/or globules coated with phospholipids. Disclosed is use of a nutritional composition selected from a first-level infant formula and a second-level infant formula comprising 3 to 7 g of lipid / 100 kcal, from 1.25 to 5 g of protein / 100 kcal and from 6 to 18 g of digestible carbohydrate / 100 kcal and including lipid globules, in which a) volume-weighted modal diameter is at least 1.0 mcm, and/or globules with diameter from 2 to 12 mcm make at least 45 % vol in terms of total volume of lipid; and/or b) on surface, at least on its part, coating from phospholipids, to stimulate or improve a postnatal child growth curve to a growth curve which is similar to a growth curve observed in infants breastfed or approximates to an optimal growth curve according to Breastfeeding Growth Standards developed by WHO. Growth curve is selected from a group consisting of a body weight curve, body weight to height and/or body weight index (BMI). At 12 months, the child has body weight and/or BMI and/or body weight to height ratio of the child, which are statistically different from body weight and/or BMI, and/or body weight to child 12 months of age according to WHO standards for breastfeeding growth.

EFFECT: infant formula with a special lipid structure is proposed to stimulate healthy growth.
