FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, namely to a microcarrier for culturing cells and for delivering cells into a mammalian tissue injury region. Method involves grinding the silk fibroin fibers of domestic silk moth Bombyx mori to obtain particles with length from 2 mcm to 2 mm and diameter from 2 mcm to 1 mm.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain biocompatible carriers for cells of controlled size and shape without using toxic reagents and considerable time costs.
