Travel assistance method includes steps of detecting an environment of a driving vehicle, generating a first movement path based on cartographic information around the master vehicle and generating a second environmental path. If it is determined that switching from the first movement path to the second movement path is necessary when detecting that the first generated movement path should end in front of the driving vehicle, as long as the driving vehicle moves along the first movement path, the driving vehicle is controlled to move from the first movement path to the second traveling path when it is determined that switching is necessary.
