FIELD: driving assistance.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for driving assistance. The method for driving assistance contains stages at which a point is selected at which a lane of a carrier vehicle connects to another lane on the planned route of the carrier vehicle, and the traffic state in the mentioned other lane cannot be determined as a point of high complexity, and an indication is given to switch the traffic state of the carrier vehicle from autonomous control to manual control at a point located at a given distance to the point of high complexity. The point of high complexity is a connection zone in which the carrier vehicle is rearranged by changing the lane from the lane to the lane of connection assignment, which is another lane, and in which the distance or travel time from the starting point of the connection zone to the end point of the connection zone is less than the threshold value, and if the traffic state in the lane of connection assignment cannot be determined due to the shape of the road in the lane and the shape of the road in the lane of connection assignment at the point, located at a specified distance to the connection zone, an indication is given to switch the traffic state from autonomous control to manual control at a point located at a specified distance to the connection zone.
EFFECT: increased safety of driving a vehicle is achieved.
