FIELD: driving assistance systems.
SUBSTANCE: driving assistance method is proposed, performed using a controller, which calculates a movement route, which the considered vehicle should follow, and controls driving assistance based on the movement route. In this case, the mentioned method includes stages, at which it is assessed, whether the considered vehicle has arrived to a roundabout, an entry position is determined, and a position is established according to a width of the considered vehicle within a traffic lane as the entry position at the entry based on a mutual position between the entry and the exit, a target movement position leading to the width position is established, and driving assistance is performed so that the considered vehicle moves along the target movement position.
EFFECT: automation of assistance in driving on a circular roadway.
