FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics. After performing refreshing of meniscus fractures under the control of arthroscopy, a back port is formed, in which a protective cannula is placed. Through the front port from inside to outside under the control of arthroscopy through the posterior horn of the meniscus there is a curved needle, and its point is visualized behind a meniscus horn. Monofilament suture is introduced through the needle lumen and withdrawn by a clamp from a joint cavity through the back port into a protective cannula. At end of monofilament thread in front port there formed is knot, in which braided thread is fixed. Braided thread is inserted into the joint by the monofilament suture by pulling through the meniscus into the protective cannula. Using the clamp, the free end of the braided suture is transferred above the posterior horn of the meniscus into the posterior parts of the joint. Free end of the braided thread over the meniscus is brought out to the back port by means of a clamp. In rear port cannula, therefore, two free ends of braided thread after its through posterior horn of meniscus. On one end of the thread a sliding assembly is applied and, by traction after the other end, the threads are fixed on the meniscus. Seam by two subsequent nodes is blocked by means of a sniffer of the assembly. Ends of threads above knot are cut in joint cavity through installed cannula by means of nippers. Actions are repeated in the same way along the whole length of the meniscus hinge rupture by controlling the meniscus reduction by arthroscopy. Skin is sutured.
EFFECT: method improves reliability of fixation of a damaged posterior horn of a meniscus due to application of a stable suture without involvement of a capsule, and also simplifies suture execution due to possibility of threads in all required directions under visual control.
