FIELD: video processing.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of generating an output video signal (So) from a plurality of input video signals (Si1,… Sim), containing corresponding sequences of input frames (Si1[n]…Sim[n]) with the number of pixels for each input frame associated with the input resolution (Ri1…Rim), containing 3D spatial space virtual space associated with each pixel; setting, in 3D virtual space, a visualization point (X0, Y0, Z0) and a rendering window; calculating corresponding pixel threshold density for pixels in a rendering window; determining combinations of input frames whose projections are partially overlapped in the rendering window; and selection from each frame combination of such a frame, which in the projection on the rendering window has a pixel density in the entire overlapping part greater than or equal to the pixel threshold density, or, in the absence of such a frame, selecting a frame which, when projected onto the rendering window, has the highest pixel density, in order to form an overlapping portion of the output frame.

EFFECT: generation of video signals from a plurality of input video signals in real time and possibility of using input signals with high resolution without concomitant accumulation of delays or without using considerable computational power.
