SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of purifying a solid organophosphite compound and can be used in chemical industry. Disclosed method comprises: (a) obtaining a solid organophosphite compound, subjected to recrystallization or trituration into a powder, wherein said solid organophosphite compound contains phosphorous acid; (b) dissolving said solid organophosphite compound in a hydrocarbon solvent, wherein said hydrocarbon solvent contains an aromatic hydrocarbon, a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon or mixture thereof; and (c) removing undissolved phosphorous acid from solution, wherein content of acid in organophosphite after step (c) is 30 ppm or less, wherein said undissolved phosphorous acid is removed by filtration and/or centrifugation.
EFFECT: disclosed is a novel method which enables to efficiently purify a solid organophosphite compound from phosphorous acid.
