SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical technology for purification and disinfection of water and waste water. Device for electrochemical treatment of water includes a cover, on which pipes for supply and discharge of liquid, separated by a partition, are rigidly fixed, as well as a gas discharge pipe, a detachable cylindrical housing connected to the cover by means of a shutoff device, an electrochemical cell containing coaxially located external, internal electrodes and a tube for removing treated liquid, having the form of water-permeable hollow cylinders, wherein electrodes are made from titanium alloy with transition metal coating, and electrochemical cell assembly is fixed on cover using holders. At that, external and internal electrodes are installed relative to each other with one-sided gap 6 ≤ δ ≤ 9.5 mm and made of titanium alloy with titanium content of more than 99%.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of water treatment with simultaneous reduction of amount of consumed energy and increase in overhaul cycle.
