FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used to assess blood flow in diabetic patients. That is ensured by fluorescent angiography in the patient's extremity. Intravenous solution of indocyanine green is administered in dose of 5 mg/kg. That is followed by an angiography procedure. Laser radiation source with wavelength in range of 780–790 nm is used to excite the fluorescence of the indocyanine green solution. Level of blood flow is assessed on the map of time distribution of the onset of the maximum intensity of indocyanine green fluorescence. On the said distribution map yellow colour corresponds to the earliest onset of the fluorescence maximum, at which the conclusion is made on the optimal level of blood flow. Dark-purple colour on the above map corresponds to the most recent appearance of the fluorescence maximum, in which the conclusion is drawn on low blood flow and the risk of developing irreversible changes in the extremity.
EFFECT: invention provides higher diagnostic effectiveness of fluorescent angiography by evaluating blood flow parameters in a patient.
