FIELD: paint industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating composition containing the following in wt %: 10–20 polyester resin, 2–8 amino resins and 0–6 acrylic resin in terms of total weight of coating composition, wherein polyester resin has hydroxyl number from 50 to 100 mg KOH/g, acid number from 0 to 5 mg KOH/g and weight-average molecular weight (Mw) from 3,000 to 5,000, and acrylic resin has Tg from 40 to 50 °C, hydroxyl number from 10 to 40 mg KOH/g and weight average molecular weight (Mw) from 20,000 to 30,000. Coating composition additionally contains 20–40 wt % of a pigment, 30–50 wt % of solvent and 0–4 wt % of an additive in terms of the total weight of the coating composition. Described also is a coated substrate comprising (i) a substrate, and (ii) said coating composition applied on at least a portion of the substrate.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a paint film having a quality appearance of the orange peel without defects, including loss of luster, sagging, bubble formation, adhesion, adhesion during repeated application, resistance to weather conditions.
