FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing trans-1-alkenyl(chlorodiisopropylamino)-boranes of general formula (1a-d):
(1a-d),
where (a) R = para-Me, (b) R = meta-Me, (c) R = ortho-Me, (d) R = H. Method involves reacting aromatic α-olefin (para-methylstyrene, or meta-methylstyrene, or ortho-methylstyrene, or styrene) with i-Pr2NBCl2 while cooling to 0 °C for 1 h in presence of Mg (powder) and catalyst Cp2TiCl2 in molar ratio of i-Pr2NBCl2 : α-olefin : Mg : Cp2TiCl2 = (10÷14) : 10 : 20 : (1.5÷2.5) in tetrahydrofuran in an inert atmosphere and further stirring at room temperature (~22–25 °C) for 6–8 hours.
EFFECT: novel organoboron compounds which can be used in organic chemistry as substrates in cross-coupling reactions are obtained.
