FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for obtaining new organoboron compounds, namely, to a method for obtaining 1-phenyl-1-borospiroalkanes of general formula (1a-c), where (a) n = 1, (b) n = 3, (c) n = 7. The proposed method is carried out by the interaction of phenyldichloroborane PhBCl2 with methylenecycloalkane (methylenecyclohexane, or methylenecyclooctane, or methylenecyclododecane) when cooled to 0°C for 1 h in the presence of a Cp2TiCl2 catalyst and Mg powder at a molar ratio of PhBCl2:methylenecycloalkane: Mg : Cp2TiCl2 = (9÷11) : 10 : 10 : (1.5÷ 2.5) in tetrahydrofuran in an inert atmosphere and further stirring at room temperature 20−22°C for 4–8 hours. The total yield of target products is 70–80%.
EFFECT: precursors for the creation of new drugs in the form of boric acid derivatives, as well as building blocks for the creation of new π-coupled organic photophysical and electronic devices.
