FIELD: tool industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool industry, namely, to method for laser processing of part of rotation from tool steel. Rotation and axial movement of part with processing of its surface with laser beam of continuous action with degree of overlapping laser tracks 10-15 %. Machining of the workpiece by the laser beam is carried out with a power density of the laser beam equal to 80-90 W/mm2, the laser beam spot diameter of 3 mm and linear velocity of laser beam 6 mm/s.

EFFECT: higher wear resistance of said part of rotation under conditions of increased contact loads, as well as expanded range of laser-reinforced parts having increased dimensions of working parts.
