SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurology, and can be used to predict the risk of developing and progressing cerebral microangiopathy. Method for evaluating the risk of developing and progressing cerebral microangiopathy involves assessing the patient's erythrocytic resistance to lysis in hypotonic solutions with reducing concentrations by measuring haemolysis intensity on a photoelectric colorimeter based on light absorption intensity at wavelength of 500–560 nm, wherein the haemolysis start with sodium chloride concentration of 0.50–0.45 % is taken as the minimum osmoresistance and the minimum osmoresistance value calculated as the intensity of light transmitted through the medium, to intensity of incident light on the given medium exceeding 0.62, risk of developing and progressing of cerebral microangiopathy as increased.

EFFECT: invention provides the simplicity of the study with high reliability and accuracy of assessing the risk of developing and progressing cerebral microangiopathy.
