SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict cognitive disorders in patients with age-dependent cerebral microangiopathy. An MRI of the brain is carried out in the diffusion-tensor MRI mode, followed by the construction of maps of axial diffusion and the determination of its value in the posterior middle part of the corpus callosum. If the value of individual axial diffusion is more than 0.002, a high probability of cognitive disorders is predicted. If the value of individual axial diffusion is less than 0.002, a low probability of cognitive disorders is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of predicting cognitive disorders in patients with age-dependent cerebral microangiopathy by determining axial diffusion.
