FIELD: medicine; neurology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the bioavailability of nitric oxide in patients with cerebral microangiopathy. The patient's blood is tested. In the patient's blood, the rate of erythrocyte disaggregation (y-dis) is determined before and after incubation of 2 ml of blood with L-arginine at a final concentration of 10-6 mmol/l at a temperature of 37°C for 30 minutes using a laser optical rotational cell analyzer LORCA. When the rate of erythrocyte disaggregation is equal to or more than 113 s-1, it is assessed as a decrease in the bioavailability of nitric oxide in cerebral microangiopathy.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of increasing the reliability of assessing the bioavailability of nitric oxide in patients with cerebral microangiopathy by determining the rate of erythrocyte disaggregation in the patient's blood before and after incubation of blood with L-arginine.
