FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and systems for adapting recipes to a cooking appliance. Disclosed is a method which comprises: accessing, using a computing device, electronic data describing capabilities of a second cooking appliance, wherein electronic data describing the second cooking device capabilities are in a tree-like format, further including execution of comparison algorithms with respect to said electronic data with a tree; receiving, using a network interface of the computing device, electronic data describing at least one ingredient substitute for the second cooking appliance; recipe is changed based on electronic data describing the first cooking device using the processor of said computing device, using electronic data, to which access is made, to adapt the recipe for the second cooking appliance by comparing the capabilities of the first cooking appliance with the capabilities of the second cooking appliance.
EFFECT: technical result consists in automatic adaptation of recipes to a cooking appliance.
