FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to supply of electric power to contact wire lines. Device for automatic control of traction power supply comprises units for remote control of voltage and power of traction substations, units for telemetry measurements of voltage and power, units for measuring current, coordinates and voltage on current collector of electric rolling stock, memory unit, units for telemetry measurements of voltage and current of controlled devices. Inputs of memory unit are connected to corresponding outputs of telemetry units. Outputs of the memory unit are connected to inputs of remote-control units of voltage and power and to inputs of telecontrol units by switching voltage of controlled devices. Input and output of the memory unit is connected to a microprocessor. Outputs of units for setting limit modes and parameters are connected to inputs of microprocessor, inputs and outputs of which are connected to units of optimization of voltage and power, which are connected to inputs and outputs of microprocessors of adjacent inter-substation zones. Input of idling voltage measurement unit at buses of traction substations is connected to voltage optimization unit. Input-output of the charge and discharge characteristics unit is connected to the power optimization unit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of energy efficiency of traction power supply system.
