METHOD OF CODING PREVALENCE OF TUBERCULOSIS PROCESS AND DETERMINATION OF PREOPERATIVE PREPARATION TACTICS FOR RESPIRATORY TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2735467 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to phthisiology, and can be used for coding prevalence of tuberculosis process and determination of preoperative preparation tactics for respiratory tuberculosis patients. Spiral computed tomography is performed. Severity of pathological changes in each lobe of the lung is presented in the form of a sum of points assigned as follows: infiltration and/or fine-focal changes +1 point, focal formations - tuberculomas +2 points, cavitary changes - caverns +4 points, absence of signs of active tuberculosis 0 points. Prevalence of the tuberculosis process in both lungs is presented in the form of a five-digit code "00000", where each sign corresponds to the obtained total score in the lung lobe: upper, middle and lower lobes of right lung; upper and lower lobes of left lung. If there is no share due to the transferred operation, the "-" is substituted instead of the number. Prevalence of the tuberculosis process is assessed by average arithmetic numbers in a five-digit code. If the value is less than 2.4 points, inhalations with anti-tuberculosis preparations are used. If value is 2.4 and higher, a peribronchial lymphotropic therapy is used.

EFFECT: method enables presenting the prevalence of the pulmonary tuberculosis process in the form of a simple five-digit code, from which it is possible to differentiate not only a restricted, distributed, destructive, one- or two-side variant of pulmonary tuberculosis, but also to quantify the prevalence of the process by the nature of changes in each lobe of the lung, thereby form comparable groups in clinical studies, correctly predict the course of the disease and determine the clinical effectiveness.
