SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an apparatus for production of methanol, comprising a synthesis gas synthesis/synthesis of methanol unit with at least one synthesis unit, connected by catalyst line with device for methanol extraction. At that, the synthesis gas/methanol synthesis unit is equipped with a flare gas supply line, as a methanol recovery device a refluxer is installed, consisting of a cooled reflux section with an offgas discharge line connected to a synthesis gas/methanol synthesis unit and a heated stripper section with a water-methanol solution discharge line into the flare gas supply line, between which a chimney tray with overflow and a methanol discharge line is located, in addition, the unit comprises a water treatment unit, equipped with water supply lines, feeding water condensate from synthesis gas synthesis unit/methanol synthesis and deionisation feed to flare gas feed line. Invention also relates to a method of operation of the claimed plant.
EFFECT: technical result is high output and quality of methanol.
