FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an automated system for ensuring traffic safety involving unmanned vehicles. Automated system for ensuring traffic safety involving unmanned vehicles comprises on-board telecommunication units (OTU) arranged on an unmanned vehicle (UV) equipped with a satellite navigation system and a UV control unit, road telecommunication nodes (RTN) installed along the road, and an intelligent transport system (ITS) platform. ITS is configured to remotely diagnose and intercept the UV control. Each RTN comprises a central RTN processor, a RTN memory unit, a RTN radio interface configured to simultaneously exchange data with all RTNs within the RTN action radius, high-accuracy receiver of global navigation systems (GNSS). Each RTN via an interface is connected to the ITS platform, which is configured to obtain information on the traffic situation as a result of information exchange with the OTU of all UV located within the range of their RTN. OTU comprises OTU central processor with memory unit, satellite navigation system receiver and OTU radio interface. UV OTU is connected via CAN bus with UV control unit, OTU central processor is configured to continuously analyse CAN bus for messages from UV control unit, their analysis and command for braking UV and activation of emergency lights.
EFFECT: higher safety of unmanned vehicle control.
