Besides, the hand held aerosol-generating device comprises sensor (4) configured to receive light and aerosol chamber (8) configured to contain an aerosol. Emitter is additionally configured to emit light into an aerosol chamber. Sensor is additionally configured to receive light from the aerosol chamber and to measure at least one wavelength of the spectrum of the received light.
