SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an absorbent article in the form of underpants. Absorbing product in the form of underpants has vertical direction, transverse direction and front-rear direction, which intersect with each other. Product comprises an absorbent body, a front waist portion including a stretchable sheet and a front resilient member. Stretchable sheet and the front elastic element can both be stretched and compressed in the transverse direction. Rear waist portion comprises a rear resilient member that can stretch and contract in a transverse direction. Front portion along the waist has a front end portion which is an area laid between the upper end of the front portion along the waist and the lower end of the stretchable sheet in the vertical direction. Posterior portion along the waist has a rear edge portion, the length of which from the waist top part in the vertical direction is equivalent to the vertical length of the front edge portion of the front portion along the waist. Force of transverse stretching on front end section at stretching of front portion along waist in transverse direction to 85 % of maximum length at tension and is greater than the force of transverse stretching on the rear edge portion when stretching along the rear waist portion in the transverse direction to 85 % of the maximum length when stretching the posterior portion along the waist. Force of transverse compression on the front edge portion at compression of the front portion along the waist in the transverse direction to 55 % from the maximum stretch of the front portion along the waist is less than the force of the transverse compression of the rear edge portion when the rear waist is compressed in the transverse direction to 55 % of the maximum length when stretching the posterior portion along the waist.
