FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma physics and antenna engineering. Invention is a plasma antenna comprising a tube, a metal contact element for connecting the end of the tube to the transceiver, as well as radiation source arranged at tube end with possibility of directed transmission of light radiation inside tube, which is made in U-shaped section in the form of dielectric capillary, which inner walls are coated with semiconductor, wherein the radiation source is configured to generate radiation with energy of quanta exceeding the energy of the bandgap in the semiconductor.
EFFECT: technical result is wider range of technical means used as transceiving antennas.
