FIELD: wireless communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for positioning target devices in wireless communication systems. Target device receives from the network node a sensor reporting configuration. Target device receives measurement results of sensors, determines volume of reporting based on obtained results of sensors measurements, in accordance with obtained configuration of sensors reporting, transmits to a network node a measurement results report containing sensor measurement results in accordance with a defined reporting volume, wherein the measurement results report comprises the target device offset relative to the reference position.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of wireless communication network characteristics by improving positioning of target device.
