FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in wireless communication systems. Method is carried out by wireless device (10) for controlling communication of wireless device (10) in operation with multiple carriers in network (1) of wireless communication, wherein wireless device (10) is configured with a discontinuous reception cycle and is serviced by a first serving cell and serviced or serviced by a secondary serving cell. Secondary serving cell is provided on reduced carrier, wherein the reference signals are transmitted over a frequency band which varies between the first frequency band and the second frequency band, wherein the second frequency band is narrower than the first frequency band. Wireless device receives in the secondary serving cell one or more reference signals perceived by wireless device (10) as transmitted in the secondary serving cell along the second frequency band. Wireless device (10) receives in a first serving cell a secondary cell setting command for a secondary serving cell, wherein the setting command of the secondary cell indicates a transition between the states of the secondary serving cell for wireless device (10). Wireless device (10) also receives one or more reference signals received by wireless device (10) as transmitted in the secondary serving cell on the first frequency band after receiving the instruction of the secondary cell installation.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improved transmission capacity.
