FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communications, in particular to traffic between devices (D2D) in a communication network. Method is carried out by a network device in a communication network. Method comprises obtaining information indicating that the first set of D2D-enabled wireless devices is present in the communication network, obtaining the D2D traffic information of the first set of wireless devices with D2D support, adapting D2D traffic in a communication network between the first cell on the first carrier and the second cell on the second carrier in a communication network based on the D2D traffic information, thereby balancing D2D traffic in the communication network. Network device configured to perform such a method is also provide, along with a machine-readable medium, storing a computer program containing machine code that enables a network device to perform a method for balancing traffic between devices (D2D) in a communication network.

EFFECT: technical result – enabling wireless data devices to communicate directly with each other.
