FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: method of destruction of ice cover by a ship on compressed air flow consists in excitation of bending-gravity waves in ice at ship motion with resonant speed. Ship is equipped with braking shield arranged in stern end of vessel in vertical plane along width of flat bottom of hull in plan and having control system. Damped chassis is secured at braking shield end. Wheels on all external perimeter are equipped with metal teeth with sharp edges. Ship is also equipped in front part of vessel hull sides in area of waterline above its level by short rotating in horizontal plane interceptors from each side of housing, having aerodynamic profiles arranged with possibility of extension in recesses and fixed on axes of rotation. Recesses are made under vessel hull symmetrically to each other, and spoilers are actuated by adjusting drives. Simultaneously with translational motion of ship, additional load is created on ice directed downward, compressed air is supplied from impeller in direction of brake shield, impeller rpm and braking flange turning angles are adjusted, upper surface of ice is ground by means of wheels. At intermediate speeds acceleration modes interceptors are moved out of niches.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of ice cover destruction.
