FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in excitation of flexural-gravity waves in ice as the vessel moves above ice at resonance speed. In the process of vessel movement, the channel formed in the aft end of the vessel is covered by the width of the bucket with the help of the reversing bucket. Overlapping is carried out periodically with frequency equal to frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves during time equal to half the period of these waves. During vessel movement snow cover and boundary layer of ice under vessel bottom with side skegs is additionally blown away by means of coaxial impeller. Impeller is located inside the hull in the recess of the bow of the ship. In addition, a confuser-nozzle with aeration air holes is arranged in the lower bow part of the ship and generally a lifting force upwards above the ice is formed, which is first formed in the bow part of the ship.
EFFECT: increased thickness of ice cover.
