SUBSTANCE: control station (27) comprises background portion (49) with bearing surface (36) lying in a plane perpendicular to the base axis (Z), image acquisition device (47) for obtaining at least one bus image (23), arranged so that its first outer side surface is in contact with support surface (36) and second outer side surface (21) faces image acquisition device (47), lighting system (50) and computer (48) configured to generate working image (24) from at least one obtained image (23) of the tire. Method includes arrangement of image acquisition device (47), lighting system (50) and background part (49) so as to create contrast on working image (24) between at least entire second outer lateral surface (21) of tire and zone (22) peripherally surrounding tire (2), wherein the peripheral surrounding zone (22) corresponds to at least one portion of background part (49), including at least one portion of support surface (36). Method also includes formation of working image (24) from obtained images and processing of working image (24) to perform at least one tire control procedure (2), wherein the second outer side surface (21) of the tire is different from the peripheral surrounding area (22) by contrast.
EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of tire control.
