FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to alloys based on Al-Mg-Si system. Alloy contains, wt. %: 0.6–1.0 of magnesium, 0.2–0.7 of silicon, 0.16–0.7 of iron, 0.05–0.4 of copper, up to 0.15 of manganese, up to 0.35 of chromium, up to 0.2 zirconium, up to 0.25 zinc, up to 0.15 titanium, 0.005–0.075 tin and/or indium, balance are aluminium and unavoidable impurities, wherein Si/Fe ratio is less than 2.5, and Si content satisfies condition: wt. % Si = A + [0.3*(wt. % Fe)], where A is from 0.17 to 0.4 wt. %.

EFFECT: alloy provides combination of high mechanical properties after thermal hardening with high stability during storage.
