FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used to determine a risk factor of cardiovascular events in a patient. For this purpose, skin microcirculation is evaluated by laser Doppler fluometry with thermal functional test. Patient's hands are placed on the horizontal surface with the palms facing downwards. Sensor for measuring skin microcirculation with a heating element is fixed at 4 cm proximal to a wrist joint on a median line on the dorsal surface of the forearm of one of the arms. During 60 seconds the basic level of microcirculation is registered at temperature of the heating element in range of 32-32.4°C. Then heating is switched on at speed 2°C per second to 41.8-42.2°C and maintained for 180 seconds. Skin microcirculation (Slope 180s) is calculated. If Slope 180s 0.5 PU/s and less, an additional risk factor of cardiovascular events is determined.

EFFECT: invention provides more accurate assessment of risk of cardiovascular events in patients.
