The patient is examined with the establishment of a number of functional indicators, which determine the patient's cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) using volumetric sphygmography, additionally take into account systolic blood pressure (SBP), sex and smoking status. In this case, the risk assessment is determined by a mathematical formula using the obtained values. With a risk value of <0.5%, the level of cardiovascular risk is low; with a value from ≥0.5% to ≤2.5%, the level of risk is medium; at a value of >2.5%, the level of risk is high.

EFFECT: method is effective and affordable, does not require labor-intensive measurements, involves insignificant time costs for implementation and does not require laboratory tests, is applicable to the entire adult population during preventive and dispensary examinations and epidemiological studies.
