FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in treatment of soil, porous structures and waste water in order to suppress activity of pathogenic microorganisms. Method of producing colloidal solutions of zirconium trisulphide in deionised water involves synthesis of zirconium trisulphide from zirconium metal and elemental sulfur powder sealed in quartz ampoules. Synthesis is carried out in a tubular furnace for 24 or 48 hours at temperature of 650–900 °C in vacuum is not worse than 10-3 bar. Obtained crystals are dispersed in deionised water in concentration of 0.001 to 1 g/l with ultrasound treatment. That is followed by centrifugation at 6,000 rpm for 15 minutes and sediment separation.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain colloidal solutions having antimicrobial activity, without the need to use wide-spectrum antibiotics, to ensure long-term storage of the powdered component before preparing solutions.
