SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for correcting one’s own location and to a device for correcting one’s own location. Using the self-location correction method and the self-location correction device in accordance with the aspect of the present invention, map data, the current speed of the vehicle, as well as the yaw value are obtained, the coordinate of the axis parallel to the forward-backward direction of the vehicle is used as the longitudinal coordinate. Then the corrected vehicle speed is calculated by adding the vehicle speed to the correction value set based on the longitudinal correction value obtained by subtracting the value of the longitudinal coordinate of the location of the target object detected by the detection unit from the value of the longitudinal coordinate of the location of the target object registered on the map data. After that, the location of the vehicle is corrected on the map data by estimating the location of the vehicle based on the sequential integration of the calculated value of the movement of the vehicle based on the corrected vehicle speed and yaw speed of the vehicle.

EFFECT: provision of the possibility of correcting information about the location of the vehicle.
