SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for determining the value of downturn of greater trochanter at its high standing for preoperative planning of surgical correction. Performing computed tomography in 3D mode. In the frontal plane, by the difference in the value of the vertices of the greater trochanter of the changed and unmodified femurs, the value of the displacement of the greater trochanter of the hip joints in the anterior-posterior projection is determined. That is followed by determining the angles of anteversion of the changed and unmodified femurs and calculating their difference, the angle C. Then, according to the computed tomography of the femur with the high standing of the greater trochanter in 3D mode, in a horizontal projection, distances d are measured from a vertex of a greater trochanter to a point of intersection of a line of a parallel axis of the femoral neck passing through a vertex of a greater trochanter and a tangential line passing through a lateral point of the femoral head and parallel to the middle line of the body. Isosceles triangle with sides d and angle C is constructed, then formula 2dsinC/2 is used to calculate isosceles triangle base value equal to displacement of greater trochanter in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness of surgical treatment, enables recovering the hip abduction amplitude, improving the balance of pelvic muscles and normalizing the gait by scheduling the downturn in two planes.
