SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a control device for a food processing device and to a food processing device comprising a food processing compartment (3) for a food product, heating unit (15) configured to provide a heating effect on the food product, weight sensor (44) configured to track the weight of the processed food product, and control device (40) configured to obtain weight information in relation to the food product, calculating a derivative signal indicative of the weight loss rate of the food product, calculation of the characteristic value of the derived signal and at the initial stage of the heating action based on the characteristic value of determining the initial fat content in the food product for the occurring heating action and/or assessment of the final fat content change in the food product. Present invention also relates to a method for operation of a food processing device.
