METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE RISK OF A SKIN PATHOLOGY IN THE FORM OF MELANOSIS OR DYSCHROMIA ASSOCIATED WITH EXCESSIVE ARSENIC CONTAMINATION IN A HUMAN Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01N33/58 G01N33/68 C12Q1/686

Abstract RU 2714325 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to dermatology, and aims at predicting the risk of a skin pathology in the form of melanosis or dyschromia associated with excessive arsenic contamination. Blood, urine and buccal epithelium are sampled. Arsenic content is determined in urine sample, C-peptide level in blood serum, and DNA is extracted from buccal epithelium sample. If observing simultaneous detection of presence of variant homozygous genotype of TERT (rs10054203) gene, variant homozygous or heterozygous genotypes of MMP9 Gln279Arg (rs17576) gene, variant homozygous gene genotype ZMPSTE24 (rs2076697) under condition of simultaneous presence of arsenic in urine above 300 mcg/dm3, as well as when C-peptide level in blood serum exceeds the norm range of 0.5–3.2 ng/cm3, an increased risk of a skin pathology in the form of melanosis or dyschromia associated with excessive arsenic contamination is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable assessment of arsenic effect on predisposition of human skin pathologies.
