FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at tapping of process melts from converter. Device comprises a metal structure in the form of a bearing pipe with two end movable and fixed flanges, between which there is a stopper and an applicator in the form of a tube, wherein part of stopper plug has cylindrical shape, and other part is made in form of truncated cone, wherein said applicator is rigidly mounted at a distance from its front end portion, sufficient to accommodate the stopper, a flange having a diameter, commensurate with diameter of flange of stopper plug, to said flange of applicator is rigidly attached to two short longitudinal plates located in horizontal plane, and two long longitudinal plates located in vertical plane, and on rear end part of said applicator tubular handle is installed for its retention.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create an applicator in the form of a tube of a special design, made with possibility of interaction with a stopper plug to facilitate its input into the tap hole.
