FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication engineering and can be used to receive and transmit control information. User equipment is configured with at least two sets of uplink resources to be used to transmit control information to a communication network. UE receives assignment of radio resources to be used to receive downlink transmission from communication network base station. UE receives acknowledgment resource indicator (ARI) indicating one of configured uplink resource sets, which must be used to transmit control information associated with DL-transmission. Additionally, the UE transmits control information to the base station in at least a subset of the UL resources set. In exemplary embodiments, said plurality of uplink resources comprises a plurality of selectable uplink resource sets. Control information is transmitted over one of sets of upperlink resources, which corresponds to operating condition of communication network.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of ARI and limitation of its contribution to total costs.
