FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry of high-molecular weight compounds, specifically to a method of processing high-molecular components of heavy oil - asphaltenes into polymer products with useful properties to obtain polymer hot-melt adhesives with improved properties. Invention can be used in oil producing and oil refining enterprises, where asphaltenes are formed. Method for processing asphaltenes involves heating to melt components - a block copolymer of styrene with isoprene or a block copolymer of styrene with butadiene with asphaltene-free, their mixing in two-rotor mixer at rotation speed of rotors 30-100 rpm and production of glue-melt product. Ratio of components, wt%, is as follows: asphaltenes - 10-40; said block copolymer is the rest.
EFFECT: increased degree of processing of asphaltenes, increased durability of adhesive joints and reduced cost of glue-melt, which provides high adhesion strength.
