FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: grooving tool is designed for processing of slots and comprises cutting plate (2) containing cutting edge (20), and housing (1) for attachment of cutting plate (2). Housing (1) has clamping part (10) and fastening part (11), wherein fastening part (11) on end facing away from clamping part (10) comprises socket (13) for cutting plate (2), which is made and arranged such that when cutting insert (2) is installed in seat (13), its cutting edge (20) protrudes beyond circumferential surface of fastening part (11). Besides, fastening part (11) comprises on its circumferential surface (15) support (16) for the cutting plate. Inside housing (1) passes channel (40) for cooling agent, containing two side outlet holes (44, 45), which, if viewed in direction along circumferential surface, are located in lateral direction near support (16) and/or in side surfaces (161, 163) of support (16).
EFFECT: higher reliability of lubrication and cooling of cutting plate.
