SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machining of materials and can be used in processing by end cylindrical cutters. Milling cutter housing comprises at least one helical chip-straightening groove and at least two sockets for indexable cutting inserts arranged in chip-straightening groove. Each of the sockets comprises a base surface having a hole for the fastening screw of the indexable cutting insert, and at least one first thrust surface adjacent to the base surface. Transition between the base surface and the first contact surface is a groove. Double-sided indexable cutting insert is installed in each housing socket.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of machining.
